WeaknessFirst I want to assure you that nothing is wrong
There are just things I have needed to say for so long
I am writing this with the most nervous half-smile
I hope you will find reading this worth your while

I have put on an act for your sake for such a long time
I do not think that feeling like this is much of a crime
I have been thinking about this with some regularity
But it is only recently that I have established any clarity

After some horrible things to which I chose to resort
You brought me back with both comforting and support
After a short time our friendship grew into something more
My faith in humanity you were able to beg
What You Have Done To MeI hope that you are happy with what you have done to me
The rage that I am feeling should be clear for you to see
For god sake we could have been a genuine happy couple
Now because of this my patience with you is far less supple

For the first time in longer than I remember I opened my heart
Then you turned out to be nothing more than a common tart
I want nothing more than to scream at you and release my frustration
To think I used to look at you and only feel a heart warming admiration

I'm no hypocrite; I know that being perfect is something I can't preach
But now because of you I want to destroy everything within my reach

She asked...I answeredI have not very long ago been asked a rather difficult question
So why answering while being honest as always felt like a confession?
I had to explain how someone else was an emotional enhancer
You should not have asked if you couldn't handle the answer

You asked me if you could ever be more than just a friend
I had to admit compared to someone else you will never contend
You called me selfish, despite the fact you were always the taker
Then you went as far as to call me a narcissistic heart breaker

I have always been straight with you, right from the very start
Despite this you go on to call me nothing more than a male tart

Who I AmI thought I would take some tell to tell you about me
After you're finished reading this you will begin to see
What goes on in the head of a humble young writer
Who no longer has the passion needed to be a fighter

To begin with I come from a small town, barely a city
The way that the people act though is such a pity
This city has got such a colourful and vibrant history
How it has dissolved, to what it is now, truly is a mystery

Every day I do the same things that have become a routine
So many different aspirations I have found myself torn between
Do I continue with my hobbies and try to become a musician
Or try to help the world i
My Perfect WomanSomeone asked about the perfect woman for me
I'm not sure how to describe how this woman would be
As most of the women I know fill me with contempt
But for you my friend I will make a sincere attempt

First of all she would need to be patient and caring
But at the same time be courageous and daring
Someone who is going to be trusting and secure
A woman who I will not have to constantly reassure

Someone who understands I'm not completely sane
A person who will stand with me in the pouring rain
A woman who doesn't wear loads of makeup and look plastic
A woman who can tolerate that sometimes, I am sarcastic

To my love.I was asked to write all the things I would say to the woman I love
So first of all know I would stand by you when push comes to shove
I want you to know that there is no limit to the things I want to say
You need to know that I would make you fall for me every single day

There is the fact that you alone make me feel like I am a better man
You make me feel like I can be successful in this world without a plan
When I look at your smile I know that the pain of life is really worth it
To you for eternity, my heart and my very soul I have chosen to commit

When I feel your presence the horrors of my mind I can no longer fear
It is becaus
SunriseI sit here and watch the rising of the morning sun
Doing it is something that I am glad I have done
It does not bother me that I sit out here watching alone
My appreciation for this kind of thing isn't well known

I think that it is worthwhile at this hour to still be awake
Looking into darkened horizons waiting for the sun to break
When it happens you become bathed in oranges and reds
You experience it while many others are still in their beds

It could only be better if I were watching it with you
It is one of the few things left in life that I would like to do
I would hold you close to my chest, gentle but tight
To see it we could
FearNever before have I ever felt this kind of fear
Where I am going in this life isn't clear
All of my friends are leaving to follow their dreams
Though I have no where to go it seems

I was told I could go back so I could try again
So I could actually get the most out of my brain
Though I arrive to find out that circumstances have changed
It is pretty much too late for anything else to be arranged

I wasn't the one who chose to leave things this late
Now this fear consuming me has got me in such a state
The worst part is having to wait for my fate to be decided
I will find out tomorrow if any help will be provided

The problem is, just

Sending shivers down my spine,

Trace the veins with your fingers,
Then leave it to the wind
To keep it safe until it withers.

Do I have yet to explore?

And I'll always ask for more.

All or NothingI am going to ask you now to tell me exactly what it is you want
This is something, about which, I am never going to be nonchalant
Do you want to be with a man who'll do anything to make you happy
Who will do anything possible to cheer you up when you feel crappy

Or would you prefer for me to just simply turn and walk away
And never speak the words that I so desperately want to say
Would you prefer it if we were to never talk to each other again
Because if that's the case, being ok is something I will try to feign

If you choose to have it all, I will endeavour to bring you joy every day

SolitudeI sit here typing, watching the rain and feeling really down
I am stuck at home instead of being with people in the town
They are with their friends, the ones that they care about
I'm stuck here in solitude, the sadness I'm trying to shut out

I think the loneliness is something that is causing my madness
It went beyond the point where I was simply filled with sadness
To think, I wanted a couple of hours by myself to deal with my pain
Then my "friends" turned their backs on me, never to call me again

I have tried and failed to reach out, now I wait for a friend to come
Though I know that they never will, now the only thing I am is num
Then you came into my lifeI once yearned for physicality… then you came into my life
I began to learn of things that were so much more important

I used to think life was cruel… then you came into my life
Now I see what beauty the world can truly offer to humble man

I wanted a woman to have on my arm… then you came into my life
Now I see that a partner is someone to explore the world with

I only wanted money and fame… then you came into my life
Now the only thing I covet is something that cannot be bought

I thought possessions gave comfort… then you came into my life
Now I feel myself filled with peace by your mere presence

I believed
I ConcedeAfter being stubborn and egotistical for so long
I am finally ready to admit that something is wrong
I think that therapy will be almost entirely confessional
I think that's what will be expected of me from a professional

After so much hassle I finally gave up and booked a session
With someone that I hope can help me get over my depression
I have been trying for so long to deal with this on my own
But now getting real help isn't something that I can postpone

You are the one who, after all this time, has stopped me being dense
It is thanks to you that I have finally began to see some sense
It is because of your continued pressure t
Long OverdueToday I did something that I have never done before
It is something that has shaken me through to my core
I never did it because I thought, for my sanity, it was best
But after years, I visited those that have been laid to rest

Some kind of control I thought I was capable of keeping
It didn't take long before I broke down and began weeping
All I thought was how I wish that I could bring back the dead
I sobbed to emptiness that it should have been me instead

More than once, the strength I need for to live I have felt I lack
The hours I spent sitting there is something of which I lost track
When I calmed down I spoke to them, just lik
My final mileMy mortality is no longer something that I can refuse
Before my time is up, your passion for life I try to enthuse
For every moment you breathe try to have appreciation
Whilst I try in vain to stave off my own personal damnation

I will not tell you of this, I don't want you to worry, or to cry
Death is no longer something that I have the strength to defy
You have the best of this world, being beautiful and smart
The mere sight of you, my love, easily stills my shaking heart

I leave you ignorant; making sure no tears run down your face
I am going to face these final issues on my own, just in case

An angel on broken wings

The fact that I am broken is something I cannot deny
You came and started fixing it in the blink of an eye
All you have ever done is show me unconditional love
That is why I think you are an angel sent from up above

It saddens me that when talking I run out of things to say
I want to talk through the night, until dawn the next day
You are the one who has helped me to overcome all my fear
Now I see the world in a way that is ever so much more clear

I have come to think, for this world, you are far too good
You have shown me a love which no one else ever could
You are the one I will defend in any and all confrontations
I won't see tears on the face of one of gods purest creations

You live your life day to day, burdening far too much pain
Yet you are still able to see the simple beauty in the rain
You always make your point, despite not being outspoken
You remain so morally strong, despite being partially broken

Despite being too good for this world all you do is care
The fact you find yourself here my angel, will never be fair
Every time I lay eyes on you my heart stops beating, and sings
Truly my dear, you are an angel who sadly, has lost her wings
